February 29, 2016

Hola. Met with Luke this past Saturday. Two weeks ago my bodyfat was at 15.79% and this past Saturday it was 15%. I expected it to be lower, but that's okay. I am currently 138 and last week I was 140. Progress is progress. Luke indicated that this steady drop is good because we want to keep as much of my size as possible & keep my food intake as high as we can. Once you start to drop food intake, you can't really increase it because your body somewhat adjusts.

My weight at 8 weeks out for previous shows has been:
Heartland Classic - 130 lbs
Greater Omaha - 134 lbs
Southern States Classic (current) - 138 lbs

So once I put it into that perspective I feel a lot better. I am a numbers person, I can't help it  :) .

Still at 2000 calories. Last week Kelly had me do my regular lifts as well as 4 days with steady state walking on an incline for 20 mins. This week she is having my do my regular lifts with 3 days of the incline steady state walking & 2 days of steady state on the stepmill.

Much love & lifting,
Leah

This past weekend I was 10 weeks out. Met with Luke this past Saturday. Weight didn't change (141 lbs) and bodyfat is at 15.79% (it was 17% two weeks prior). We are going to keep things the same these next two weeks. 2,000 calories per day and still no cardio. High carb day (refeed) every 4th day.

My mom finished my suit so now I am working on adding bling. I am excited to see the finished product.

Also, I decided that I am not going to do the Heartland Classic this year. Tim & I are going to the Dominican Republic for a wedding and would get back the Monday of peak week. I decided it would be easier to enjoy our vacation rather than have to worry about food and working out. I am planning on doing the Max Classic & Natural Nebraska instead which is June 18th in Norfolk.

Much love & lifting,
Leah

February 1, 2016

As of last Friday I am 12 weeks out. Met with Luke on Saturday and measured in at 17% bf. It was higher than I anticipated, but I went in there feeling good & proud about the progress I have made. I decided that I wasn't going to let a number dictate how I feel about what I have done. We now have a baseline & have a plan, so things are good.

Last show my stage weight was around 126 lbs. My guess is that this time it will be around 130 lbs. So I have about 10 lbs to lose in 12 weeks which I feel is doable. For my bulk I ate around 2,300-2,800 calories and did not do any cardio. I am starting my cut at 2000 calories & we still have not added cardio in yet. I am super excited to see what I have built. I have noticed changes all around. Looking forward to see things take shape as I gradually shed bodyfat.

Left: Oct. 2 (day before Greater Omaha, 126 lbs)
Right: Jan. 30 (12 weeks out, 141 lbs)

Much love & lifting,
Leah
